Siliguri Model Senior Secondary School, affiliated to CBSE, started its journey afresh today, when it inaugurated its new campus at Baropathuram near the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital at Ranidanga in Siliguri. Vice-Chancellor of the University of North Bengal Professor Subiresh Bhattacharyya inaugurated the new campus as the chief guest, while he was flanked by other eminent personalities like special guest Ajai Singh, the Inspector General of the Border Security Force, Frontier Head-quarters, Kadamtala, Anil Kumar Mishra, DIG, CRPF, Kawakhali, former Registrar of Universities including North Bengal, Dr Tapas Chatterjee, Principal of the Siliguri BEd College Dr BB Sarangi, and the Principal of Vidyasagar College of Education Dr Savita Misra. The Siliguri Model High School has invited admissions for the academic session 2022-2023 for pre-nursery to IX and XI (Science, Arts and Commerce). It has show-cased holistic development of students with modem laboratories, sports complex and even a 3D lecture theater. Former Registrar Dr. Chatterjee, in his speech, pointed out holistic education by appreciating the Principal of Siliguri Model Senior Secondary School, Dr. SS Agarwal, who being a medical practitioner has dedicated himself to the development of quality education in Siliguri.
