HOUSE SYSTEM

The house system is a traditional feature of SILIGURI MODEL SR. SEC. SCHOOL dividing it into four, each student is allocated to one house at the moment of when they get enrolled with the school. House names are inspired by elements of nature which undoubtedly nurtures the student’s moral values and keeps them connected with mother nature all the time.
Our House system takes into consideration five elements of nature that attract GROWTH, PROSPERITY & SUCCESS.
Siliguri Model Sr. Sec. high school has the following HOUSES ( indicating PRITIVI in UNIVERSE/BRAHMAN) symbolizing stability, peace and harmony.

Colour Blue/ Direction East, imparting expansion, enhancement, trust and strength.

Colour Yellow/ Direction West, standing for movement, joy, happiness, and transmitting optimism with clarity.

Colour Green/ Direction North indicating power, confidence, fame and recounting peace of nature.

Colour Red / Direction South, symbolizing spirituality, idea, thoughts, healing, bold and excitement.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

“No act of Kindness is ever wasted”

This proverb sits rightly with the school. Community service gives the Modelites the opportunity to explore academic interests. They actively participate and cherish in community services by means of direct interaction with underprivileged children.
Students usually conduct a collection drive in the school collecting toys, books, old wearable clothes, and move for a distribution drive.
Modelites also help these children with their academics, teaching them the subjects like English, Hindi, Maths, General knowledge, etc.
Even though storytelling sessions service is provided to inculcate the mannerism and cleanliness among children.
Students ADOPTS at least one underprivileged children and give their best for the happiness and well-being of the child.

OUR NEW MODERN CAMPUS

Our New campus with an area of 4 Acres (1,74,240 sq.ft.) with buildup G+3 Area 1 lakh 36 thousand sq. ft stands proudly to cater to the highest quality education in a beautiful and uplifting environment. Constructed Area: approximately 1 lakh sq. ft completed, rest is in progress which will get completed soon.

DRAMA CLUB (English/Hindi)

Siliguri Model Sr. Sec School accepts that Drama is not just reserved for stage & screen but in fact, a powerful place for a lot of impacts in a students life.
The students perform drama as a part of their activities relating to core subjects like English, Hindi, and many more contributing fun and excitement to the learning environment.
The Instructors place a larger emphasis upon doing rather than memorising whereabouts allowing the students to engage with the subject in a more collaborative & hand-on – manner like reading scripts, story-telling, and acting out historical events.
The school itself even guides the students approaching through drama the creative problem-solving aspects.

DANCE CLUB

Student of Siliguri Model High sr. Sec. School express imaginatively and improve leadership qualities while learning the colours of movement which also sheds shyness and boost self-confidence improving leadership qualities. School incorporates an appropriate, exercise-based dance course to get students to learn the art of purifying body, mind and soul.
Through dance, students can get themselves involved in learning and focusing on improvisational skills. Creative decision-making is a part of the pattern steps for the tiny toddlers (Little Modalities) of SILIGURI MODEL SR. SEC. SCHOOL.
